About You
You’re a self starter who is passionate about creating for a purpose. You ‘get’ the marketing world, ask the right questions, and are focused on results. You’re very organized, love details, are a natural communicator, and can manage a lot of deadlines, due dates, and people at the same time.

The Gig
You’ll work directly with Shift Agency’s Digital Coordinator, Developer, and Copywriter. You will coordinate production amongst the team, translate strategy to action, ensure projects are on time and on budget, and communicate project details to the team and to the client.

Major Responsibilities

  • Work with designers, copywriters, developers, and clients to ensure work is on time and on budget.
  • Coordinate requirements gathering, assets requesting, edits and anything else essential to projects.
  • Create and outline project scope, project plans, priorities, deadlines, deliverables and schedules.
  • Plan for and prioritize deliverables and resources for projects.
  • Proactively monitor projects to anticipate potential risks or delays.
  • Communication with internal team to maintain updates on status, risks and issues.
  • Help shape strategies and processes that improve results and increase work efficiencies.

The Must Haves

  • Post-secondary education or relevant experience.
  • Comfort writing copy for campaigns that are published digitally and in print.
  • Understanding of project management and other online tools like Asana, Slack, Google Apps, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the internal team to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Some knowledge of agency and creative world (print, digital, communications, PR, etc.).

The Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for or volunteering with a charity or nonprofit.

30 hours a week at $18+ /hour with possibility for advances as time goes on.

Ideal candidates are based in Victoria, BC or able to relocate for this role.

You’re a technology enthusiast who is passionate about creating for a purpose. You understand the digital world, can expertly navigate social channels, and are focused on results. You’re very organized, love details, are a natural communicator, and can manage multiple deadlines and priorities at the same time.

The Gig
You’ll work directly with Shift Agency’s developer and Production Coordinator in the maintenance and development of websites and digital campaigns including: e-blasts, e-newsletters, online advertising, and social media management. You will fulfill client contracts by performing the services and offerings according to contract timelines.

Major Responsibilities

Digital Campaigns (Ongoing)

  • Creating Project Plans for Email Campaigns according to contract details
  • Developing content strategy and content for digital campaigns
  • Coordinating content and organize digital image assets and media from clients
  • Implementing Email Campaigns through MailChimp
  • Building eNewsletter and annual report landing pages (inputting content into templates; performing edits) and corresponding email
  • Ongoing client website text and image edits
  • Image editing to optimize for web; image compression to improve site speed, meta-tagging
  • Maintaining client website media gallery and archives
  • Maintaining client email archive
  • Ensure strong communication and prompt responses with internal team to maintain update on status, risks and issues
  • Evaluating and assessing campaigns effectiveness and efficiency  

Online Advertising

  • Plan Annual Digital Ads per client
  • Coordinate digital image assets and media from clients for advertising
  • Create ads and monitor online advertising campaigns
  • Follow budget restrictions and ensure ad spend is used effectively
  • Post and monitor social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, etc.)
  • Applying for AdWords Google Grant
  • Maintaining and optimize AdWords Ads
  • Record results of each Ad Campaign
  • Produce report of Online Advertising results

Social Media

  • Develop social media strategy for clients
  • Updating social media assets for clients according to campaigns (cover images, posts)
  • Boost social media posts to gain PR traction

Websites (One-time Project)

  • Evaluate existing client sites and produce Website Audit document
  • Create strategy and plan for website builds / refreshes
  • Review sitemaps, copy decks, designs and staging for accuracy and consistency
  • Collate, curate and organize media
  • Make text and image edits as needed
  • Create checklists for edits as needed and communicate edits to developers
  • Coordinate incoming correspondence from clients and communicate to internal team members

Public Relations

  • Develop public relations plan
  • Write press releases
  • Gather earned media
  • Produce valuation of earned media

The Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with basic HTML/CSS & editing content on WordPress and SquareSpace sites
  • Familiar with MailChimp, SparkPost, Emails on Acid, Litmus,  and other email service providers (Gmail, Outlook etc.)
  • Online Marketing Experience (SEO, Google Adwords, Facebook Communities, etc.)
  • Google Analytics Experience  
  • Experience working for or volunteering with a charity or nonprofit
  • Understanding of online tools like Trello, Slack, Google Apps, etc.

You’re creative-minded and detail-oriented. You love writing and want to put your writing skills to use helping fundraise for charities who are transforming communities. You’re very organized, love details, are a natural communicator, and can manage multiple deadlines and due dates at the same time.

The Gig
You’ll work directly with Shift Agency’s Production Coordinator to create compelling copy for Shift Agency's many digital initiatives. Some examples of work would be digital campaigns, website copy, e-newsletters, e-blasts and web landing pages. Much of which will have a strategic fundraising focus. You may also be asked to help write other items such as case studies, blog posts or press releases.
 

Major Responsibilities

  • Handle multiple demands and meet deadlines promptly.
  • Write clear, expressive, concise, specific and grammatically stellar copy.
  • Adopt different writing voices and styles as needed per client.
  • Take direction and appreciate quality, constructive feedback.
  • Assess information and decipher key points.
  • Understand multiple specific target audiences and write accordingly.
  • Write with specific calls to actions and goals.
  • Use productivity and collaboration tools (Trello, Slack, Workflowy, Google Docs, etc.) consistently and actively.

The Must Haves
