About You

The Client Success Specialist is dedicated to the success of Shift and our cause-based clients. They are invested in learning as much as possible about the clients – their likes, dislikes, their peers, their community, personal/organizational voice, requests, idiosyncrasies and overall outlook on fundraising and marketing to have the best fundraising results ever.

Prompt, clear, and client-focused communication is their top priority, as they are the face of Shift. They are socially minded and find ways to connect with people. When communication breakdowns occur, they try to find a solution that is right for all parties.

The Gig

You’ll work directly with the General Manager at Shift, Francis, and the Shift Production Team (consisting of both employees and contractors). You represent the client to the Shift Team and the Shift Team to clients. You ensure client retention is high and long-term.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing day-to-day clients communication through phone, email, and visitations

  • Providing fundraising strategy for seasonal campaigns per client

  • Overseeing implementation of fundraising strategies

  • Preparing, negotiating, and writing proposals/contracts to potential clients

  • Communicating client production requests to Production Coordinator and team

  • Ensuring high quality assurance of production materials

  • Maintaining notes on client communication and nuances

  • Creating a system of results tracking and reporting

  • Reporting fundraising revenue to all clients

  • Managing Production Team for utmost effective and efficient deliverables

Role Requirements Include:

  • Working on site in Benifactor headquarters in beautiful Victoria, BC.

  • Use of own tools (computer, phone) with $50 tech credit reimbursement for each.

  • Possibility of using office desktop computer

  • Ability to travel

Status

32 hours per week starting at $18 / hour. Start date flexible (as soon as available). Position will remain open until the right person is found.

You’re a self professed nerd who is passionate about creating for a purpose. You understand the digital world, can expertly navigate layers of code to get the final product just right. You work independently, but also love collaboration. You are skilled at walking the line between quick and cost conscious work and doing whatever it takes to get it right.

The Gig

You’ll work with our Chief Marketing Officer, Anna, and our current Web Developer, Francis, in the development, maintenance, and improvement of our WordPress based landing pages and websites. 

Major Responsibilities

  • Turning PSD files from our designers into new responsive, HTML5-based pages

  • Implementing evolving best practices, and bringing UX's asymptotically closer to perfection

  • Using analytics to understand where we can improve

  • Communicating effectively with designers to negotiate the different capabilities of Photoshop and HTML/CSS

Must Haves

  • Very comfortable with HTML, Javascript, PHP, and editing content on WordPress sites

  • Comfortable using Photoshop to extract everything you need to create HTML/CSS

The Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with MailChimp

  • Understanding of online tools like Teamwork, Slack, Google Apps, etc.

  • Google Analytics experience

  • Knowledge of ecommerce tracking pixels
